-   £75 per hour or part thereof + VAT

Single Storey Extension:

#   Measured survey of existing:

-   £475 + VAT, see note 2

#   2 or 3 initial designs & planning submission:

-   £1,175 + VAT, see note 3

# Construction drawings and schedules, and Building Control submission:

-   £1,375 + VAT, see note 4

# Tender, Contract Prep. & Contract (on site) administration:

-   £ Price on asking, see note 5

Two Storey Extension:

#   Measured survey of existing:

-   £575 + VAT, see note 2

#   2 or 3 initial designs & planning submission:

-   £1,575 + VAT, see note 3

abp Chartered Architects have worked on almost all types of housing in London and our fees quoted above are for the most typical domestic work required by our Clients. For other requests for services such as new build residential, buildings in conservation areas, listed buildings, educational or commercial work, please contact us directly for our fees.    

• The fees above are indicative only.  
• All fees are subject to a written and signed agreement and may vary from the web published fees on this page.
• Fees do not include for statutory submission fees and costs (i.e: planning and building regulation fees).
• Purchase of an ordnance survey plan and other statutory disbursements that may be required would be additionally charged.
• Fees do not include for other consultant fees, such as structural engineers, services engineers, party wall surveyors etc.
• Fees for additional work or work outside the control of abp Architects are based on the current hourly rate fee of:  £75 per hour + VAT.

Note 1:    Initial consultation fee within 7 miles of the office, is refundable on the first invoice on the commission of our services.

Note 2:   Measured survey fees are based on a typical suburban 1930s 3 / 4 bedroom semi-detached house.  These fees will vary for larger or complicated buildings with extensive original detailing.  All survey information is prepared on CAD files.

Note 3:      abp Architects prepares 2 / 3 design options to discuss with Client, allowing for 2 client changes prior to planning submission.  Abp Architects would require to undertake the measured survey prior to preparing any design options.

Note 4:       Generally, abp Architects would only undertake construction and Building Regulation drawings for projects that they have undertaken the design work for.

Note 5:    abp Architects would only undertake tender action, contract preparation and on site inspections (contract administration) for projects that they have undertaken the design work for.
